Phew, it's been a little crazy around here lately! Between my alter-ego job as a scientist, traveling for a conference, traveling for a wedding (which was wonderful, btw), and everything else in between, it's been hard to find a time to blog. But here we are, only around 5 months behind. Not too too bad ;). For this get-back-into the swing of things post, wanted to share a few personal photos from our summer vacation. Bart, Olivia, and I traveled to France to meet up with my side of the family, including my brothers, their girlfriends, my parents, and two sets of aunts and uncles from my mom's side (who live in England). It was awesome. We set up camp in the Loire Valley and stayed in a 5th century chateau only a couple miles from the beautiful city of Amboise. After a week exploring castles and eating/drinking lots of cheese and wine, Bart, Olivia and I ventured over to Iceland. We expected a brisk 50F (it was summer, after all), and found a frigid 25F with 35mph winds whipping off the ocean. We had fun none-the-less (the geothermal pools are awesome!) and Olivia learned to like hats in about 30 seconds flat. Hope you enjoy these few photos!
